LET’S SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF GLOBAL WARMING

Assalamu’alaikumwr.wb

Good Morning

                Honorable the judges of the contest, the committee of this contest, participants of this contest, and respectable the audience whom I love. First of all, let’s pray thanks to the almighty Allah SWT, because of his mercies and blessing we could gather here in save and good condition. Unforgettable, peace and salutation always be given to our prophet Muhammad Saw, who has brought us from the darkness to the lightness and from Jahiliyah era to the Islamic era.

                Ladies and gentlemen, in this good occasion I’d like to put forward a topic, en titled “Let’s solve the problem of global warming”. Ladies and gentlemen, do you know what the meaning of Global Warming is????

                Global Warming is a process when the average of atmosphere temperature, sea, and Earth mainland. There are many factors that cause global warming, such as:

a)   Greenhouse Effect

        Intergovernmental Panel on climate change (IPCC) said that “most of the average temperature increase since the middle of 20^th century. Maybe it caused by the increase of greenhouse effect gas concentrate that causes by human activity. When the energy from sun to earth surface, it change from light be warm. Earth surface will adsorb the partial of warm and bounce it back. But, most of warm still trap in atmosphere because of the sum of greenhouse gas very much, such as water steam, carbondioxide,methane, etc.

b)   Feedback Effect

        Water steam is green house gas, in this process warm will continue and increase the sum of water steam in air until the steam water concentrate be balance. When global temperature increases, ice that near pole change be liquid. So, ground and sea will adsorb more radiation of sun because the ability of ice is decrease. It will increase warming and make ice change be liquid and be continue cycle.

The impact of global warming are:

1.    Ice in North and South Pole be liquid

        At March 6 2008, a hunk 414 kilometer square of ice in Antarcticais fall out. The Ice in Greenland changesto be liquid until 19 million ton and ice volume in Arctic at summer 2007 to be half from 4^th before.

2.    Increase level of sea surface

        Ice in north and South Pole that be liquid impact the increase of sea surface level, and make beach, harbor, and ground be sinking.

3.    Change extreme climate/weather

        NASA said that global warming impactChange extreme climate/weather in the earth. Rain systemcan’t bepredicted, so that making flood in a place, butdryin other place. Hurricaneis longer stronger.

4.    Warm wavebe more malignant
Global warmingimpactwarm wavebe often more strong.

5.    Loosing Gletser as clean water source in the world
        Worldgletser that be liquidimpactwith the availabilityof clean water, and in the future make increase the level of sea world. Poor, that’s happen now. Now, world gletser be liquid is very bad.

There are many solves to decrease global warming such as:

·      Decrease using electricity

        Something that we can do is decrease using electricity such as: turn off the lamp andelectricitywhen not using, use economical lamp.

·      Deadline the using of paper

        Thinkthat you use paper you have cut tree. Because of that,use paper effectivelysuch asprint frequently every paper.

·      Use Organic fertilizer

Becausefarmers often use fertilizer that contains nitrogen that causesgreenhouse effect 320 timesbig more than CO2.

·      Plant bamboo
Bamboocanadsorb CO2 four times more than other tree.

·      Don’t use plastics

        Plastic iselementthat difficult to manner, need 1000 yearstomannerin ground. It makes big
greenhouse effect. Souse the other, such as from natural fabric.

Allah said in Holy Qur’an, Ar-Rum Chapter verses 41

ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُمْ بَعْض
الَّذِي عَمِلُوا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

It means that, we obligate to care, keep, and love our earth, same with loving ourself. So, let’s we solve the problem of global warming together. That’s all my speech, thanks for your attention.
